News and Announcements

Hello Panther Families,

Early Registration is still open at www.csyfa.com and we are looking for more kids to join at both Flag and Tackle.
Early Registration Rates (from Feb. 3 – April 15) will be US$200 for Flag and US$300 for Tackle.
Beginning April 16th, the rates will be US$225 for Flag and US$350 for tackle.

We are proud to announce our 2019 Head Coaches. They are:
Flag = Chris Nie
8U = Justin Leggett
9U = Jason Miller
10U = Rob Smith
11U = Jacob Smith
JV = Andy Butler
Varsity = Tim Carlson

CSYFA appreciates all the candidates that interviewed and hopefully if we can bring in more kids there will be additional teams that could be added to allow for further Head Coaches. Thanks again to all for their continued support to the second most important aspect of CSYFA volunteering (first always is the kids!).

For those parents who may have some concerns about kids safety and health we will be having CSYFA’s on field trainer company, Olympia Chiropractic & Physical Therapy, representative (Dr. Josh) coming to CSYFA’s March 11 Board Meeting. He will give a presentation on hydration, nutrition, and concussion safety that his team provides for all Panther Families. Please note the March CSYFA Board Meeting is on the 11th of March at Simkus Recreation Center in Room 4 at 7:00pm. To be respectful of Dr. Josh’s time and attending parent’s we will have him do his presentation first prior to our regular board meeting. All are invited to attend both if your time permits.

Thanks again to all those parents who took the time to fill out the Parent Surveys. The survey site is now closed and we will reopen after the BGYFL season end this year.

Finally, CSYFA would encourage all Parent’s to check out www.csyfa.com. As we are non for profit organization we are doing our best to hold the line when it comes to registration rates. However to do this we are looking for sponsors each and every year. We have posted in the documents section (lower left hand corner of site) 2019 Sponsorship Form. If there are any companies that you all know would like to be a sponsor please have the company contact CSYFA. Also we do not want to exclude any kid from playing this great team sport so if there is some that have any financial issues please click on the Sponsorship “New” near the top of site (under the Panther Football) and you can find out ways that could help.

It is very important to make sure to remind everyone of our motto: “It’s all about the kids!”

Go Panthers!

Hello Panther Families,

We are a little over 1 week out for the opening of early registration, and we’d like to provide some important information.

First off, a big thanks to all the families who sent in the Parent Surveys. Carol Stream Youth Football Association (CSYFA) appreciates all the comments, and will work on the issues that have been brought to our attention. There is still time to complete a survey! We will keep the Parent Survey Link active for another week—closing out on February 4th. The link is below for your convenience.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/B5Q793M.

Second, we are still looking for coaches!! Coaching interviews will be done in a couple weeks. Parents interested in coaching—who would like to volunteer their time to provide these kids with instructions on how to play this game safely, please contact Ted Dost at teddost@yahoo.com or via phone at 630-621-2507.

Lastly and most important, EARLY REGISTRATION OPENS SUPERBOWL SUNDAY (2/3/19)! CSYFA is happy to say that we have been able to hold our prices at the same rate for the 2019 season.
We’ll be offering a new option this year. The first 20 kids whose family registers and pays their early registration in full, will be fitted with their helmet and shoulders pads before the regular equipment pick-up day. A date and time will be advised.
As indicated above, CSYFA was able to hold the registration rates for 2019 the same as in years past. They are as follows:
Early Registration Rates (from Feb. 3 – April 15) will be US$200 for Flag and US$300 for Tackle.

Beginning April 16th, the rates will be US$225 for Flag and US$350 for tackle.
CSYFA is happy to report that all kids in Flag this year will have new helmets.
For those who would like to know what the Registration Fees cover, please check out the FAQ’s Document in the Documents section on the website. For any families with questions please note the CSYFA Board Members tab on the website for contact information.
Please be on the lookout for an opportunity to meet our CSYFA Trainer at an upcoming CSYFA Board Meeting. Dr. Josh will be doing a presentation about proper hydration and other health tips for Panther players and families. Please continue to check www.csyfa.com on the calendar section for the date.
It is very important to make sure to remind everyone of our motto: “It’s all about the kids!”
Once again, we look forward to a great 2019 season.

Go Panthers!

Hello Panther Families,

Although it’s only January, preparations for the upcoming 2019 football season has already begun.
To take a quick look back at the 2018 season—we had 2 of our Panther youth teams make the BGYFL Super Bowl (JV and Varsity). The JV team came in as runner up. The Panther Varsity team was able to show CSYFA power to bring home the Super Bowl Trophy. Congratulations to both teams on all your hard work!

We have a few Board Members who have dedicated many years of their time to make CSYFA so successful. As their terms have expired, we all should say thanks. Please again thank Joe Trimarco and Paul Robertson for their years of work on the Board and coaching for CSYFA. Please be sure to thank Dana Robertson for her many years the concession committee. Please also give a big thank you to Michelle Trimarco for her work on getting the Team Mom’s committee organized. As this organization is all about the youth, we still would like to thank all the above, coaches and all the parents who volunteer their time to CSYFA.

Please check out www.csyfa.com for the new Board Members information. Starting in 2019 we are excited to announce the new board members. Ted Dost will be the new President. Ted has been the CSYFA Vice President for the past 2 years. Rob Smith will be the new Vice President. Rob has been the Equipment Manager for the past 2 years as well as a coach. Dan Filice will be the Treasurer. Dan has been the big voice of the Panthers at his son’s (Enzi) home games and Pep Rally the past 3 years. CSYFA is excited about the upcoming season and all the work that goes with producing a safe and educating team sport experience for all these young kids that love to play this great game of football.

We would like to welcome two new committee members for this season— Kristy Dost (Concessions) and Angela Leggett (Team Mom and Parade).

It is very important to make sure to remind everyone of our motto—“It’s all about the kids. The season we would like to make it a point to get back to this.

This letter does have a lot of information included. We’d like to get things rolling, so that we can be up and running for Registration for the 2019 season. Registration will open on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3rd.

In order to prepare for Coach selections, we’d like to request that you please answer the following Parent survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/B5Q793M as soon as possible. We would like to get our 2019 CSYFA coaches interviewed, and chosen quickly.

For any parent who is interested in coaching and able to volunteer their time to provide these kids with instructions on how to play this game safely, please contact Ted Dost at teddost@yahoo.com or via phone at 630-621-2507.

Once again, we look forward to a great 2019 season.

Go Panthers!

To All Panther Families,

The last game of the night was incredible.and our Senior Varsity Team brought home the coveted BGYFL Football Trophy with a great 14-12 win against Wheaton Rams. The game had everything a fan could ask for great defensive action and good kids playing with their pride. Once again all the kids played their hearts out (as some are now moving on to high school next year) . The Wheaton Rams had not lost their last 22 games but Panthers were determined to not let them get to 23. Congratulations to all players, coaches, cheerleaders, parents, and the Great Panther fans who attended this cold game.

As the website has some issues please click on the picture about the JV results above. Sorry for inconvenience.

All Panther Families,

This past weekend Carol Stream Youth Football had 2 teams in the BGYFL Superbowl. Our JV team played first on Saturday out on the cold tundra they called Illinois Benedictine. They played with all the Panther pride behind them but unfortunately they were unable to stage a comeback and ended up losing to Bloomingdale Bears 21-6. The kids played their hearts out and the coaches and all the fans cheered them on , it was a great experience for all.
