News and Announcements
Hello Panther Families,
Although it’s only January, preparations for the upcoming 2019 football season has already begun.
To take a quick look back at the 2018 season—we had 2 of our Panther youth teams make the BGYFL Super Bowl (JV and Varsity). The JV team came in as runner up. The Panther Varsity team was able to show CSYFA power to bring home the Super Bowl Trophy. Congratulations to both teams on all your hard work!
We have a few Board Members who have dedicated many years of their time to make CSYFA so successful. As their terms have expired, we all should say thanks. Please again thank Joe Trimarco and Paul Robertson for their years of work on the Board and coaching for CSYFA. Please be sure to thank Dana Robertson for her many years the concession committee. Please also give a big thank you to Michelle Trimarco for her work on getting the Team Mom’s committee organized. As this organization is all about the youth, we still would like to thank all the above, coaches and all the parents who volunteer their time to CSYFA.
Please check out www.csyfa.com for the new Board Members information. Starting in 2019 we are excited to announce the new board members. Ted Dost will be the new President. Ted has been the CSYFA Vice President for the past 2 years. Rob Smith will be the new Vice President. Rob has been the Equipment Manager for the past 2 years as well as a coach. Dan Filice will be the Treasurer. Dan has been the big voice of the Panthers at his son’s (Enzi) home games and Pep Rally the past 3 years. CSYFA is excited about the upcoming season and all the work that goes with producing a safe and educating team sport experience for all these young kids that love to play this great game of football.
We would like to welcome two new committee members for this season— Kristy Dost (Concessions) and Angela Leggett (Team Mom and Parade).
It is very important to make sure to remind everyone of our motto—“It’s all about the kids. The season we would like to make it a point to get back to this.
This letter does have a lot of information included. We’d like to get things rolling, so that we can be up and running for Registration for the 2019 season. Registration will open on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3rd.
In order to prepare for Coach selections, we’d like to request that you please answer the following Parent survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/B5Q793M as soon as possible. We would like to get our 2019 CSYFA coaches interviewed, and chosen quickly.
For any parent who is interested in coaching and able to volunteer their time to provide these kids with instructions on how to play this game safely, please contact Ted Dost at firstname.lastname@example.org or via phone at 630-621-2507.
Once again, we look forward to a great 2019 season.
To All Panther Families,
The last game of the night was incredible.and our Senior Varsity Team brought home the coveted BGYFL Football Trophy with a great 14-12 win against Wheaton Rams. The game had everything a fan could ask for great defensive action and good kids playing with their pride. Once again all the kids played their hearts out (as some are now moving on to high school next year) . The Wheaton Rams had not lost their last 22 games but Panthers were determined to not let them get to 23. Congratulations to all players, coaches, cheerleaders, parents, and the Great Panther fans who attended this cold game.
As the website has some issues please click on the picture about the JV results above. Sorry for inconvenience.
All Panther Families,
This past weekend Carol Stream Youth Football had 2 teams in the BGYFL Superbowl. Our JV team played first on Saturday out on the cold tundra they called Illinois Benedictine. They played with all the Panther pride behind them but unfortunately they were unable to stage a comeback and ended up losing to Bloomingdale Bears 21-6. The kids played their hearts out and the coaches and all the fans cheered them on , it was a great experience for all.
Congrats to our 2018 Punt Pass & Kick competitors!
Tyler Hvorcik – 3rd Place
Braden Clancy – 3rd Place
Great job by all the kids!
